In the Beginning was the Word

(John 1:1)In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

It is also appropriate for Jesus to be called the Word of God because the physical body of Jesus was produced by God’s spoken word, not the usual means of a physical relationship between man and woman. (See Luke 1:38)

(Genesis 1:26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

  • Who was given control of the earth? Man

(Genesis 2:16-17) And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

In Genesis 3:3, what did Eve develop from Genesis 2 to Genesis 3? Tradition

(Genesis 3:6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Who was handed control through a lie and deception? Satan

3 Things Lost in the Garden

(See Genesis 3:9-12)

  • Paradise Lost
  • Fellowship Broken
  • Eternal Life Forfeited

God Has a … (See Genesis 3:15)

  • Son
  • Promise
  • Plan

Who is Isaiah talking about hundreds of years before His arrival? Jesus (See Isaiah 7:14)

We can receive a miracle the same way by cooperating with the Word and believing by faith the Word made flesh (Jesus) is the Son of God, He died for our sins, was buried, and rose to Life three days later and is now seated at His Father’s right hand in victory.
