School of Discipleship

Vine Church is excited to continue the Equip School of Discipleship with a mission to see people Equipped and Empowered to impact the world around them with the Love and Power of God.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13

Our school meets part-time and is currently offered as a two-year program. First Year focuses on topics such as foundations, identity, and spiritual disciplines. It’s essential we start here. In class, we seek to have teaching, open discussion, and activations. We also assign spiritual discipline exercises outside of class time with daily reading, prayer and devotional times. We suggest any follower of Christ to enroll in First Year!

The second Year focuses on leadership development. To enroll, all students MUST complete First-Year as well as go through an interview process. At this time, this is Vine Church’s model for training and raising up leaders within our body. Book reports, activations, and personal opportunities for growth in specific areas of interest will be explored. Beyond Second Year, we hope to eventually offer training for more specific ministry giftings.

To cover the costs of our online platform, Bible study books, and basic materials and supplies, tuition for Equip is set at the nominal rate of $150 per semester.

Applications can be downloaded here and are due by Friday, September 4, 2020 along with at least a first payment of $50 towards the semester tuition. All tuition balances are due in full by the first day of class unless a payment plan has been arranged.

For full details, please download our 2020 Equip Information Packet.

First-year classes will be Tuesday nights, 6:30-8:30pm from September 8th – December 1st. Classes will be held primarily via Zoom, with occasional meetings at Vine Studio at 110 University Ave. In addition to the Tuesday night classes, there is an online student community. It will be essential to have internet access to watch assigned videos and receive school updates.
