(James 1:19-20) Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
GOD’S RULES FOR FIGHTING FAIR
Stop to listen carefully.
(James 1:19) …Everyone should be quick to listen…
(Proverbs 18:2) A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions.
Guard your words faithfully.

(Proverbs 21:23 NLT) Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.
Never call names.
Never raise your voice.
Never get historical.
Never say never or always.
Never threaten divorce.
Never quote your pastor during a fight
Handle your anger righteously.
(James 1:19)… Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry…
(Ephesians 4:26-27) “In your anger do not sin“: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

Criticizing
Contempt
Defensiveness
Stonewalling
(Romans 12:21) Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
