WATCH WHERE YOU SIT

(Matthew 28:1-6 NIV) After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

(Matthew 28:2 NIV) There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

You can either sit under your circumstances or you can sit on them, but you can’t do both.

(2 Kings 10:30 NIV) The LORD said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in accomplishing what is right in my eyes and have done to the house of Ahab all I had in mind to do, your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

(Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV) … And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Saving Seats

Seat of emotions.

(Philippians 4:6-7 NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

A Seat Has Been Saved for You

(Ephesians 2:6 NIV) And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

(Revelation 3:21 NIV) “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.

(Galatians 3:13 TPT) Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place.
